CONTINUING MINISTERIAL EDUCATION PROGRAM
In 1987, Apostle Clifford Turner created Logos Ministerial Institute to provide ongoing training for the evangelists of the church. Apostle Turner diligently studied God’s Word and understood the importance of growing in the knowledge of God as one ministers to or leads God’s people. Today, Apostle Sheraine Lathon has continued and expanded that training to extend to all areas of five-fold ministry as well as church and ministry leaders through Liberty Temple University (LTU).
In the second epistle of Peter 1:5 (NIV), it reads: “For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge.” So, according to Apostle Peter, the first thing that is important to add to your faith is goodness. And the next important thing to add is knowledge.
As we obey God’s Word and persist in the long tradition of “adding knowledge,” we find the following programs to be a very vital component of Liberty Temple University.
LTU offers 8-week ministerial courses on a year-round basis for the advancement, education and equipping of God’s people.
The “Elect” Program for new leaders and the Continuing Ministerial Education (CME) Program for ordained and licensed leaders are offered through the Liberty Temple University. Whether entering a program or simply taking a class for Christian growth, students at LTU will experience solid teaching, inspiration, and a new passion for Jesus.
We are excited that through our online classes, students can learn in the comfort of their homes and collaborate with other ministers throughout the length of their course studies.
CONTINUING MINISTERIAL EDUCATION
“Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.” Colossians 2:7
The Continuing Ministerial Education (“CME”) Program is a professional development program offered through Liberty Temple University with the expressed purpose of promoting continual growth within the ministers and leaders in the Kingdom of God. The goal of the CME Program is to provide constant learning opportunities for ordained and licensed ministers.
CME courses help maintain a level of professionalism in the Kingdom of God as well as ensure active ministers stay on top of new developments in the Body of Christ. The completion of minimal yearly hours to acquire CME required credits keeps God’s leaders and ministers in tune with the church leadership and help them stay current on developments in the church at large.
Liberty Temple ministers will be required to complete nine (9) credit hours of courses each year.* While each five-fold office has its school of ministry, we encourage students to take courses outside of their designated Office to experience a well-rounded Christian education.
For the Fall semester, each course offered through the CME Program is three (3) credit hours.
Ministers who teach courses will be accredited four and one half (4.5) credit hours per quarter towards their CME requirements.
*The LTU school year runs from September 1 – July 30.
